Description / Salvia 'Bumblesnow'
Packing a lot of punch into a small package, Salvia 'Bumblesnow', a petite herbaceous perennial, is perfect for planting in a decorative pot or for massing in the front of a sunny border. Its bountiful long flower spires, dense with pure white blooms, are a favorite of pollinators, especially bumblebees; and the seed heads that follow beckon to birds. Deadheading promotes rebloom for a long season of cut flowers for fresh or dried arrangements.
Easy to grow and salt tolerant, the upright clump of aromatic, rugose green foliage is unappetizing to deer and rabbits. Salvia 'Bumblesnow' is a perfect companion for clematis, coreopsis, dianthus (carnations or pinks), festuca (fescue), heuchera (coral bells), and nepeta (catmint).
