Vermont Planting Zones & Schedule

Vermont’s USDA growing zones range from Zone 4 to Zone 6, depending on where you are in the state. The warmest parts of the state are in the south, including some areas that reach Zone 6a. The coldest part of the state is in the northeast, which reaches Zone 4a. 

Most of the state falls in Zones 4b and 5a which are suitable for cool-season crops like broccoli, lettuce, and spinach as well as cold-hardy plants like blueberries, broccoli, and root vegetables.
