Wish More Color Lines of Cockscomb 0 people found this helpfulYears ago, Park Seed carried more Cockscomb varieties. Perhaps the flame type is all that people are acquainted with now, because that is all there is at Lowes, Home Depot, and Walmart. But I like the Cockscomb varieties. They can be set out far from the road, and those beautiful bulbous clusters, that look like velvet pom poms, can still be seen. They ask for attention, and they last long. I am familiar with the magenta and deep burgundy-red types. They get people to get out of their cars, and ask what those flowers are. I prefer all one color. Park Seed, please bring back those magenta and burgundy (all one color) types. They are glorious!
