Description / Black Seeded Simpson Organic Lettuce Seeds
Days to Maturity: 65
These loose light green leaves are delicious and stand up to heat and drought as well as some frost. Delicious crumpled leaves are perfect for salads or lettuce wraps.
Lettuce is a fairly hardy, cool-weather vegetable that's loved for its variety of textures, flavors, and colors. Versatile and fast growing, lettuce can be harvested at most any stage, is delicious raw or cooked, and in warmer climates can be grown year-round.
When starting lettuce from seed, do not cover the seeds, as light aids germination. Instead, place them on the surface of your soil-starting medium.

Dad was right 0 people found this helpfulThis is the lettuce my dad always grew. I've added some newer types to my garden, too, but none are better than Balck Seeded Simpson. I'm glad Park is offering it now.

Great for salads 0 people found this helpfulI picked this lettuce because it looked pretty, thats how much I know about gardening... yet all of my seeds germinated and ended up getting to over 2 ft tall. I did the cut and come again method with this lettuce and it just kept growing, even well into the fall. This lettuce is perfect for salads. Highly recommend!!
