Description / De Caen Poppy Anemone Bulb - Pack of 10

Why limit your spring-blooming garden to yellows, blues, and whites, when you can add a dash of warm reds and bright pinks with this stunning mixture of early-blooming De Caen Poppy Anemone Bulb - Pack of 10? The De Caen name is a classic in Anemones, and De Caen is simply the best mixture of colors available anywhere!

These 2-inch blooms are simply drenched with color, arising on 12- to 18-inch stems just perfect for cutting. In the garden or vase, De Caen Poppy Anemone Bulbs are long-lasting and lovely, arising in shades of bright red, bubblegum pink, azure blue, and clean white, plus interesting bicolors and combinations. What a nice alternative to yellow Daffodils for the spring garden!

The De Caen Anemones were developed in the 1700s and have been garden mainstays ever since. They're hardy in zones 7-10, but if you live north of zone 6, don't despair! Pot up the bulbs (actually tubers) in late winter, then plant it outside after danger of frost. If you live within De Caen's hardiness range, plant the tuber in fall, setting it about 3 inches deep in the garden, or just beneath the soil in containers. De Caen Poppy Anemone Bulb - Pack of 10 grows easily and is distasteful to deer, making it a good choice for perimeter plantings or woodland gardens in deer-ridden areas. Zones 7-10.

I bought these poppies to have bloom in the spring I n the coast There was limited formation on the package so I called and was connected to your horticulturalist. I asked if I should refrigerate my bulbs and he said they were ready to plant. So I planted in a pot and they are now 4 inches tall and it is only late October ! I do t know if they will be ok or not.
