Perpetually flowering from spring to fall, the plant sets masses of small, deeply fringed, raspberry pink double blooms. Borne on sturdy stems, rising 3 inches above the foliage, the spicy clove-scented flowers attract bees and butterflies to the garden. Considered florist's carnations, they make excellent additions to fresh floral arrangements.

Dianthus Star Double™ 'Starlette' prefers full sun and organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained, gritty loams with a 5.5 to 6.2 pH. Deadheading spent flowers encourages blooms. The plant is deer and drought resistant and pollution tolerant.
