Description / Dreamland™ Mix Hybrid Zinnia Seeds

Still the finest garden Zinnia, Dreamland™ Mix Hybrid Zinnia has been wowing gardeners with early, big, long-lasting blooms on compact plants for several years now—and the applause just keeps getting louder. Enjoy the elegance of these 4-inch dahlia-form flowers in 8 dazzling colors: apricot, coral, pink, rose, yellow, ivory, red, and scarlet. They arise atop neat, robust 8- to 16-inch plants just 6 weeks after sowing, and by 8 weeks have formed a solid carpet of color that is really amazing in a large planting.

Dreamland™ Mix Hybrid Zinnia is very rugged and weather tolerant, this sun-lover renews itself quickly after storms, thanks to waxy petals and a very tough, vigorous plant constitution. The luminous hues in this series blend harmoniously in the garden, and the flowers stay fresh for well over a week in the vase. Stunning.

Zinnias are one of the easiest annuals to grow, and attract butterflies to the garden. They are outstanding in beds, borders, and containers, and are the perfect cut flower—the more you cut, the more you get. They thrive in the sun and heat of summer, and ask only well-drained soil. Their biggest enemy is mildew, so water them with a soaker hose or other ground-based spray to minimize wetting the foliage—or water them early in the day, so that the leaves dry off before nightfall. When cutting the blooms for the vase, trim off all the foliage; unlike the long-lasting blooms, it does not age well. Direct sow Dreamland™ Mix Hybrid Zinnia Seeds or start ahead indoors.

Big Beautiful Blooms, In a Compact Size! 1 people found this helpful

These are absolutely beautiful Zinnias! They have a more compact size, but they have big, beautiful, FULL blooms that you would expect from the Giant Zinnias. I have found them to still be a bit floppy though. 4 stars out of 5 because they do seem to be a little floppy even in compact size; and I think the price is very very high.

I've been growing this beauty for many years. Germination is usually 100%. The colors are vivid and the blooms are 3-4 inches. We enjoy these hard workers all day every day until frost.

I grow these in abundance for the past 2 years. Blooms are huge like a Benerys yet they are the perfect height for mason jar arrangements. The more you cut, the more they bloom. The third cut is when I start using them for arrangements.

Love Them. My New Must Have 0 people found this helpful

This is the first season I tried Dreamland & I'm SO glad I did. I love the shorter compact height... and the BIG BRIGHT colorful blooms. I planted in round batches as a broader plant and in the middle of the bed. I started these with Profusion Double Red, Queeny Lime Orange, and Uproar Rose late March w/seedlings trays under lights (I was too lazy to do my usual 6 packs). In my opinion, March sowing with trays, instead of a 6 pack, is too early for Zennias because their roots will grow totogether. Due to low temps at night, I plant on Memorial Day weekend. It's now July 6th. Dreamland has be blooming, blooming, and Blooming.Flowers are big & colors are so vivid (red and pink are stunning). The Dreamland didn't mind having their roots cut. Profusion Double Red, had a hard time with it (six packs for them next season), but with TLC they survived my torture. Their flower buds are just beginning to open. They are much nicer in my large planter then they are as a boarder plant. All seedlings were started & planted in the same time frame. The other 2 are slow growing plants. Not much growth in height & the few flower buds they have aren't opening (might need a clipping to generate growth). Flower Power to all.????

I love zinnias and seeing the good reviews online for Park Seed i decided to order the dreamland mix and zinderalla mix. I am so glad I ordered because I was not disappointed. The germination was perfect on every single one of them but I made the mistake of planting the dreamlands indoors and in my experience they did not like being transplanted so I lost some of them but the ones that made it are gorgeous. The flowers are so big and double and the plants are vigorous. The Zinderellas I direct planted outdoors, they germinated in 2 days and are growing healthy even though they have not bloomed yet. Can't wait to see their happy faces :). Thank you Park Seed I will order again soon.

Big Zinnia Bang in Little Zinnia Body 1 people found this helpful

I've grown Dreamland for 3 years, and wish I'd started doing so much sooner. I like big old-fashioned Zinnia flowers, but I moved several years ago, had to downsize my annual beds, and no longer had a good place for the big, old-fashioned Zinnia plants that generate those flowers. Enter Dreamland! This is a tidy, well-mannered plant that has an out-standing germination rate--literally, predictably100% for me. The seedlings are sturdy, compact and (as my mom would say) want to "go". I garden in Zone 7A, and the first frost date is as unpredictable as the last frost date. This makes all annuals started from seed a challenge, but it really helps when the plants can be up-potted if needed and held until Spring is actually Sprung. Perhaps every third spring is like that here, and Dreamland is a much easier plant to keep waiting before planting out. And the flowers have all the traditional Zinnia qualities I want. Love it; hope you try it and love it too!

These Zinnias are just beautiful. They bloomed early summer to the last frost with no dead heading! I got so many compliments and the colors are outstanding. I'm not much to fuss with flowers and these beauties fit the bill.

Started these seeds inside with bottom heat and they germinated very well for me. The real treat was seeing how well these dwarf plants produce blooms. I pinched back the early growth to encourage branching and the resulting plants are just right for container and bed applications. Really impressive.
