Description / Excelsior Organic Cucumber Seeds

Days to Maturity: 40 to 50

The Excelsior is a garden staple. This organic cucumber is crisp, clean and fresh tasting. Its emerald green appearance and smaller size makes it ideal to eat fresh or for canning.

Excelsior prefers warmer weather, but if planted at the right time, it can grow in most climates. This cucumber performs best when grown on a trellis, or another item it can hold onto.

Resists: CMV/PM/S/TLS

I had seen an Instagram real of a big following Gardner couple that posted why they love this strain of cucumber and wanted to give it a try and I will never not grow excelsior in my garden every year it has been the largest abundant producing vegetable in my garden all season gardening in Colorado we have a very short season and this year especially the weather was very wet and rainy and hail happened a lot so I was so thankful that I went ahead and tried direct sewing the seeds because I'll never grow another variety other than these they're great for pickling you can let them get bigger they're yummy crunchy and very very high yielding they grow fast and they keep growing I cannot recommend this cucumber enough to everyone and anyone!!

These are the worst seeds. No males flowers so you'll get female flowers that will never grow into cucumbers because there's no pollen to fertilize them.

These have performed well in my zone 8 garden. It has been fairly wet this year, and the plants show no sign of disease. I even had to prune them back, and have been giving cukes away. The cukes are very tasty, and no bitter ones so far.
