Nice seeds. 0 people found this helpful

Germination is good, maybe 85%. Plants are nice and seem to have multiple stems, so may not need to pinch back. First indoor seed planting and it was fun.

Great blue salvia 0 people found this helpful

    Rating

I started these seeds in trays this summer and had great germination. I planted these out and they thrived in the several spots I put them. They bloomed well into fall and after several frosts. They have finally stopped blooming in mid-December after several hard freezes. These are shown to be hardy in zone 8, but I am hoping they will survive in my zone 7B garden. These are a great alternative to Victoria Blue Salvia.

Salvia spendans is a mainstay 2 people found this helpful

    Rating

I have planted this salvia for 3 years in back of a small summy border. It performs reliably in heat and drought. The germination rate was fairly low, but the plants that thrived branched out nicely and covered 10 inches to a foot of width. The bicolor bloom is very attractive.
