Fiesta del Sol Mexican Sunflower Seeds bring a wave of excitement to gardening with mexican sunflowers, showcasing an unprecedented bloom density on a compact plant. This All-America Selections winner redefines the limits of mexican sunflower seeds' potential, concentrating an abundance of flowers amid lush foliage for a stunning display.

With Fiesta del Sol, gardeners can anticipate a sea of 2- to 3-inch deep-orange mexican sunflowers blooming vigorously throughout the summer. The magic of this variety lies in its continuous flowering ability; as one bloom fades, another takes its place, ensuring your garden remains a vibrant showcase of color and life. These mexican sunflower seeds yield plants that excel in well-draining soil, demonstrating remarkable resilience against summer's challenges, including heat, humidity, and drought.

Renowned for its drought tolerance and capacity to draw butterflies, the Fiesta del Sol Mexican Sunflower, or mexican sunflower tithonia, becomes a beacon of activity in the garden. This variety's adaptability makes it a standout choice for areas with intense summer climates, where it continues to flourish and captivate. For those eager to cultivate mexican sunflowers, starting mexican sunflower seeds indoors before transitioning them outdoors after the last frost can extend the growing season, providing an early start to your garden's floral exhibition.

Fiesta del Sol's strong stems and vibrant blooms are ideal for cutting gardens or as a focal point in any landscape design, embodying the essence of care for mexican sunflowers. Bought several last year, the Drought year. Slow start due to weather challenges. By mid summer these were 1.5' wide by 1.5' tall. The pollinators sure enjoyed them. I did deadhead all season.

No blossoms 0 people found this helpful

Reaching the end of august and have zero blossoms in any of the plants. Have grown regular Mexican sunflowers for years, never had a problem getting those plants to blossom. These are also not very dwarf. Have plants pushing 7-8 feet tall.

Flower power 0 people found this helpful

I grew Fiesta del Sol for the 1st time this year. I love it!!! It's compact, bushy, about 2.5-3' tall and completely covered in bright orange flowers. I live in MN, zone 4. We've had a hot summer in the 90°s and extreme drought. They never even wilted! I'd definitely plant them again. They attract pollinators like bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
