Not too big, and not too small. Fire Fly is the perfect size snack or salad complement with juicy fruits that burst with flavor.

The beautiful pale white to pale yellow color fruits produce round, super sweet, less than 1 inch in size and about ½ ounce weight gems. Soft, transparent skins offer a mild acid flavor that enhances the sweet taste.

These indeterminate plants must be staked or caged as they grow upward to 5 to 6 feet, harvesting more than 500 tomatoes and have good disease resistance.

Disease Resistance: TMV, Crack, F, V

Grew these for the first time last summer. Surprisingly delicious and performed well. They are now a must have in my garden.

Firefly Tomato will win your heart 1 people found this helpful

I purchased Firefly seeds from Parkseed two years ago. As someone who never cared for cherry tomatoes, I was very suprised by it's tangy taste, firm texture & the bright yellow collor. The cherry tomatoes themselves are larger than the average cherry tomato & were wonderful for snacking off the vine, as well as tomato sauces, and worked wonderfully for canning. The plant climbed happily & definitely wanted to grow vs other tomatoes that Ive grown that needed tedious/extra care. The Firefly tomato self-seeded last year & I was too focused on flowers to get around to fertilizing it or even caring for it in general - yet it grew & produced tomatoes. I was pleasantly suprised to see it indeed reseeded itself yet again this year & I was so happy to have it back. I cared for it & gave it room to vine - It had gotten bigger & produced more fruit than any of the heirloom tomato plants I grew from Baker Creek Seeds. I'm back here this year to get more of these seeds - as it's in no doubt the best tomato plant I've ever had the joy of growing in my garden. Located on the Oregon Coast, zone 8b 9a.

Love this tomato. Very sweet, keeps producing until frost. Tried another one but gone back to this one. It does grow everywhere though.

I incorporate one new tomato every year just to try something different. The Fire Fly was something I had never seen before and was very easy to grow from seed, starting indoors and transplanting in Zone 6. Plant was a little slower to start than my other tomatoes but caught up quickly and produced well into late summer/early fall. The flavor of the fruits is really mild compared to other tomatoes - sweet and a little more watery than acidic is the best way I can think to describe it. My only complaint was they were much faster to split than any other cherry tomato I've grown. We had a weird summer with a June drought and rainy July, so I'm sure that contributed, but the Midnight Snacks I always grow took it much better than the Fire Flies. Get them off the plant ASAP when they're ripe for the best chance at avoiding splitting.

super easy to grow 0 people found this helpful

I started these indoors (5b) and literally threw them into a raised bed with red currant tomatoes. I had to get them planted and I was very busy. They were over crowded and I added nothing to the soil after planting. (I did have a good soil mix in the bed). They grew like crazy. Tons of delicious tomatoes. I couldn't even keep up with them. They are not kidding when they say they grow tall. Last year was my 1st year purchasing Park Seeds and I had no complaints. Even during a pandemic the shipping was pretty darn good.
