Description / Show Off® Forsythia
This unique shrub covers itself in earliest spring with bright yellow blooms that adorn the stems all the way from the ground to the very tips. Its dark green foliage keeps it attractive all season long, and it never needs pruning, keeping its neat and tidy shape year after year.
Absolutely the first of its kind, Show Off's® branches sub-branch and stand up, instead of arching like your typical Forsythia. No wonder Show Off® was chosen as a Proven Winners® ColorChoice®. This breakthrough Forsythia has been tested in trial gardens the world over and proven remarkable for its unique habit and dense rows of bright yellow blooms.
Forsythia Show Off is a natural mutation of Forsythia crossed with Fiesta. This new forsythia is a compact selection with larger blooms and a denser display than older varieties. Your yard will look gorgeous when it is dappled with color. Usher in spring with bright yellow blooms, and then enjoy large, dark-green foliage throughout the summer. Cut this beautiful plant into hedges or simply cut it back after the spring bloom. This plant flourishes and looks beautiful in urban spaces as well.
