Description / 'Heavenly Blue' Morning Glory Vine Seeds

'Heavenly Blue' Morning Glory Vine is the variety most people picture when they think of morning glories. Intensely colored and very abundant, these soft blooms bedazzle wherever they arise, offering rich color on a vigorous, dense, carefree vine.

Like all morning glories, these cheery blooms swirl open in the morning and then close again in afternoon, their azure petals surrounding a bright white eye. Perfect for covering unsightly buildings, tumbling over fences, or decorating any vertical garden structure from the mailbox to the lamppost, 'Heavenly Blue' Morning Glory Vine blooms over a very long summer and fall season and is pest free. You just can't go wrong with this classic.

'Heavenly Blue' Morning Glory Vine Seeds are a breeze to direct sow, but if you want even earlier blooms, start the seeds ahead indoors. 'Heavenly Blue' Morning Glory Vine can tolerate a bit of shade—though blazing sun is its preference—and is especially useful in dry soils, where other plants have not been content. 'Heavenly Blue' Morning Glory Vine climbs to about 6 feet.

Planted these 3 days ago without soaking or filing them first. Seedlings are already almost 2 inches tall! Can’t wait to put these in my hanging basket!

This grows wild in my yard and constantly threatens to take over every space in which it appears. It can be a bit daunting to control, once established in an area, but it is rather easy to spot newer sprouts and easy to remove by hand before they become troublesome. All that aside, it is a beautiful plant and would be most suitable to a trellised planting or anywhere you don't mind it just going wild. The picture on the product page is quite accurate, even here in the blazing central Texas summer.

FAST germination 0 people found this helpful

I soaked my seeds for about 18 hours before planting the seeds in my bio dome under grow lights, and on top of a heating pad... I sowed them at 4pm on a Tuesday afternoon, and they were already germinated on Wednesday morning when I checked them at 9am!!! Mind blown!! I’m having to transplant them now because 2.5 weeks later they are starting to climb onto the next shelf in my grow station :) couldn’t recommend more!

Vine with leaves no flowers.... 0 people found this helpful

Really bummed about this plant. I'm growing a vine with no flowers. I've grown this plant before with great success. I also purchased the split second morning glory and those are blooming great. Very disappointed in several of Parks Seeds this year.

Seed Problems 0 people found this helpful

I have always LOVED Park Seed Co and have used their products since I lived in Charleston 1990-1994. For some reason, my Heavenly Blue Morning Glory seeds did not germinate AT ALL. I nicked them & soaked them over night and was disappointed that after 3 weeks, not a single plant sprouted. I have since planted Sweet Pea seeds (also from Park Seed Co) and I'm hoping for a happier result. I'm thinking I might have better success this time!
