Description / Helleborus HGC® Ice N' Roses® Frosted Rose Hellebore
Helleborus HGC® Ice N' Roses® Frosted Rose Hellebore is an evergreen perennial that blooms from January to April, bringing flowers to the garden in winter and early spring. Its upright flowers have cream centers with a delicate greenish tint and strong pink edges. Large, palmate, dark green leaves on red stems form a handsome mound about 16 inches tall.
Frosted Rose is a versatile hellebore for gardens, beds, and borders, and it is equally useful in containers on terraces, balconies, and entrances where its winter flowers can be enjoyed up close. Vigorous and robust, it offers a long flowering period. For a beautiful planting, pair it with Geranium, Brunnera, Sedum, Viola, and Muscari. It is part of the Ice N' Roses® series from Heuger.
Grow in sun to part shade, with part shade preferred; this hellebore also adapts to sunnier locations. Provide average water. Plant in spring or fall when the ground is not frozen. Hardy in Zones 5 to 9, its evergreen foliage adds structure through the year. Upright, pink edged cream flowers in the depths of winter make Frosted Rose a standout for adding color when most of the garden is resting. This plant ships in a 6 inch pot.
