Bush Bean

One of the best-tasting beans we've ever grown in our trials.

These upright plants harvest easily, bearing plenty of long, round, straight pods of rich green. The 6- to 7-inch pods are stringless and set seeds slowly, which extends the harvest time nicely. Plants are resistant to many diseases, including common bean mosaic, curly top virus, and rust.

Easy and trouble free, even for the new gardener, this snap bean is widely adapted across the U.S., and is compact in the garden. For best harvest, succession-plant every 3 weeks or so from early spring till late summer (avoiding the worst summer heat in warm areas). Hardier than pole beans, bush snaps can be direct sown after all danger of frost.

Best Ever
Review by Judy
These were the best beans I ever grew. I planted them in raised beds and tied them up like pole beans so they wouldn't just spread on the ground! I got sooo many beautiful beans and then I even had a second crop. From here on out, I'll always choose these for my garden!

Jade bush beans
Review by Margie
I planted these for the first time in 2021. The first seeds went into the ground in May. I continued with a succession of planting about every 2-3 weeks. In the late fall right before the first snow, I harvested and pulled all the plants from the garden. The first planting of Jade beans were still producing! All I can say is WOW!!!

Tender, less fibrous tasting
Review by Grandma
I grew these for the first time last summer. They seem a darker green, more slender, longer, and more "tender" than the BlueLake (second favorite) or Kentucky Wonder that I previously tried.
