The Kitchen Minis™ Tabletop Vegetable Collection is setting new trends and winning awards. During the Cultivate'21 tradeshow in Columbus, Ohio, a panel of judges recognized the line as innovative and unique, awarding it a Retailer's Choice Award; and Greenhouse Grower magazine praised the program as being an outstanding contribution to the industry, honoring it with a Medal of Excellence Award in the Best Program category.

Developed specifically for containers and small spaces, Kitchen Minis™ Siam Edible Potted Tomato is as ornamental as it is productive. Grown as a fruit vegetable, this cherry tomato sets small "perfect" flowers followed by round 1/2- to 1-inch bright red fruits. The tomatoes can be eaten fresh or sun dried for a delightfully sweet treat. Tomatoes are considered a superfood for their nutrient rich content, having a high (top 20) Aggregate Nutrient Density Index score (ANDI), or micronutrient-per-calorie density. Tomatoes are a good source of vitamin C, vitamin A, and potassium. They also contain phytonutrients, including the carotenoids lycopene and beta-carotene.

An herbaceous tender perennial, typically grown as an annual, Kitchen Minis™ Siam Edible Potted Tomato is a member of the nightshade family (Solanaceae), which contains plants that typically grow in temperate to tropical regions. It is a determinate variety, often called a "bush" tomato, that has a compact habit and grows as a self-supporting bush. At maturity, the bush reaches about 7 to 9 inches tall and 10 to 12 inches wide, perfect for a container or hanging basket, which makes harvests especially easy. Blossoms and fruit appear over 4 or 5 weeks, producing a very nice yield. For a continual, season-long (outdoor) or year-round (indoor) harvest, succession plant every two weeks.

Siam tomato grows best in locations with full sun and moist, humusy, deep, fertile loams. If grown indoors, plant in a 6- to 8-inch pot with good drainage and place on a sunny windowsill or counter. The plant is disease resistant and self-pollinating, bearing fruit without any pollen from other varieties.

A warm-season vegetable, sensitive to cold temperatures and frost, tomato seeds should be direct sown into warm spring soil after all danger of frost has passed. Flowers begin to set fruit with night temperatures between 55° and 75°F. Protect plants if temperatures are expected to dip below 50°F. Mulching helps to moderate soil temperature and to maintain soil moisture.

Plants can also be started indoors and transplanted. If you plan to start your seeds indoors, be sure to check out our Bio Dome Seed Starter Kit. With the Bio Dome, you can control the temperature, light, and soil mix to ensure your seeds become strong for transplant.

Instead of 10 seeds, I received 6, of those only four germinated. Rather pricey to begin with. Way over priced in the end. Do not recommend.
