I tested the meter 0 people found this helpful

I was skeptical when my meter read 6.5 of ph everywhere in my garden, even my blueberry row. I tested it in the kitchen using tap water, red wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, milk, bleach, and baking soda. The meter read over-the-top (bleach, as expected) then between 6.3 and 6.8 for everything else. This was when I left it in for 30 sec - 1 minute. Finally, leaving it in white vinegar for 5 min it finally read 3.5. So it appears it really needs a long time to change the readings. This even if it is fairly accurate, eventually, is too slow to be practical for me. I have not tested the meter for N, P, or K yet - but I noticed those numbers also did not change much throughout my garden and I have added a lot of specific nutrients to change these for specific crops.

Amazing Little Tool 0 people found this helpful

    Rating

I'll be the first to admit that I'm probably the worst gardener in America. But I get an 'A' for effort, right? This little tool made all the difference. I had no idea that i was underwatering my garden or that my soil needed additional fertilizer. Now my soil is top-shape(i hope) thanks to this guy.
