Description / Polygonum
Silver lace vine is a semievergreen perennial vine that blooms profusely in late summer and fall, its twining stems adorned with branched clusters of small, fragrant white flowers, which bees adore. It's extremely fast growing, up to 12 feet per year, reaching 20 feet or more, and will quickly, and dramatically, cover any sturdy structure, including arbors, fences, and even walls.
This vine isn't finicky, doesn't need fertilizer, and won't attract pests. It's vigorous, disease resistant, and drought tolerant. Care is easy, but you'll probably want to prune it in spring, possibly severely, which it can handle, to maintain its boundaries.
