Description / Euonymus Fire Ball Seedless™ Burning Bush
A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs variety, Euonymus Fire Ball Seedless™ is the only seedless, sterile, non-invasive burning bush. A true innovation, this shrub will not spread and become invasive like conventional burning bush, but its green summer leaves still turn the same fiery red color in fall. Although Fire Ball Seedless is grown for its gorgeous color-changing foliage, the shrub does bloom in tiny green flowers in spring.
A Euonymus alatus, commonly called burning bush, Fire Ball has an upright, dense, mounded habit. Shown to best effect when grouped or massed, burning bush shrubs are perfect for landscapes, foundation plantings, mixed beds, borders, and low hedges. But they also make great specimen plants.
Cold hardy an easy to grow, burning bush grows best in sunny locations with average, medium moist, well-draining soil, but it tolerates a wide range of soils and some shade; however, best fall color is in full sun.
