Wizard Lettuce Seeds

Description / Wizard Lettuce Seeds
Wizard is a tango-type loose-leaf lettuce that can be harvested in the baby stage or when the leaves are fully mature. At the baby stage, the tender leaves are deeply cut and add loft and texture. When fully mature, the plants are upright and very open, with unique leaves having a curved shape, frilly edges, and a beautiful bright emerald green color.
A Lactuca sativa variety, commonly called lettuce, Wizard is a member of the chicory (Asteraceae) family. Wizard lettuce is an attractive plant that is suitable for an edible landscape and can be grown in a container or window box.
A cool-season, semi-hardy vegetable, versatile and super easy to grow, Wizard lettuce grows best in a sunny to partly sunny site with fertile, organically rich, medium moist, freely draining soil. Loose, well-tilled soil and consistent water are important for the best germination. Succession plant every 2 to 3 weeks is recommended for continual harvest. Wizard has some downy mildew tolerance.
