Description / Rudbeckia Echibeckia™ Summerina® Sunreef™
A member of the Echibeckia™ Summerina® series, a true cross of 2 generaEchinacea and Rudbeckia Echibeckia™ Summerina® Sunreef™ looks like a rudbeckia but has the vigor of an echinacea. Long- and heavy-blooming, Sunreef flowers from early summer through late fall in beefy, 6-inch or larger, bicolor daisylike flowers with dark orange rays and a rust-red eye and cone. And each flower lasts an extraordinarily long timeup to 10 weeks! Borne singly on sturdy stems, the blooms make bold and beautiful, long-lasting cut flowers.
Echibeckia Sunreef has an upright, mounded habit and a rapid growth rate. It is an excellent specimen or container plant but is shown to best effect when massed in mixed beds, borders, and foundation plantings.
Easy to grow and low maintenance, Sunreef grows best in a sunny location with organically rich, moist, well-draining soil but adapts to a wide range of soils. Sunreef is also disease resistant.
