Description / Sedum SunSparkler Cherry Tart
For nonstop color from spring until frost in any sunny spot, rely on the SunSparkler® series of Stonecrops! These heat- and drought-tolerant groundcovers spread quickly and look terrific with colored foliage and bright late-season blooms. Cherry Tart is one of our favorites, sporting small, rounded red leaves season after season, topped by huge clusters of dark rosy-pink blooms from late summer into fall!
The SunSparker® series offers a great deal of color and texture in a small space. Ideal for containers and gardens alike, it is quite cold-hardy, returning for years of beauty, yet offers all the appeal of an annual. Very easy to grow, it stands up to heat, humidity, poor soil, dry soil, and especially drought. And pollinators from butterflies and bees to hummingbirds adore it!
Cherry Tart is a splendid red-and-pink combo just 6 inches high, but spreading quickly up to 18 inches wide. Nibbling animals (including deer!) find it unpalatable, so you can plant it fearlessly in open areas as well as in the foundation, sunny border, hanging baskets, and tall planters. You will love this carefree perennial! Zones 4-9.
