Description / Snapdragon Twinny Appleblossom Seeds

It's a brand-new color palette for merry Snaps! Twinny Appleblossom opens pale pink to cream, maturing to nearly white over its long season. These large "butterfly" (double) blooms jostle one another for space on compact dwarf plants. Standing tough despite harsh spring or fall weather, this bedding plant is just right for containers as well as the sunny bed.

The Twinny series is the first Snap to offer double-flowered blooms on a dwarf habit, and Twinny Appleblossom adds another innovation -- unique pastel-toned blooms that change colors as they mature! Most Snaps are boldly painted in bright primaries, but this one offers soft, saturated color, beautifully blended so that each flower looks handpainted. And you'll be able to enjoy them up close, because the stems are ideal for cutting, and you get so many blooms you'll have plenty for the garden, too.

Combine Twinny Appleblossom with other luscious colors in the series, or with Pansies in the cool-season garden. Just 12 inches high and up to 8 inches wide, Twinny Appleblossom is nicely compact, and it makes the most of its smaller space. The flowers continue over a long season, and the plant is equally suited for spring or fall, being quite weather-resistant. This is the Snap to grow in that "risky" spot where others may have failed. Given sunshine and well-drained soil, it's prepared to grow vigorously and flower freely.

Sow the seed indoors about 10 to 12 weeks before you want flowers. Twinny Appleblossom needs cool conditions to flourish, and may even be a winter crop in hot climates. Pkt is 100 seeds.

Last fall was my first time planting these seeds. They germinated well. Living in Houston, these grew well in the fall and especially in the spring once the weather started to warm up and they were more established they have been flowering non-stop. Several neighbors have commented on their beauty. These grow in more of a mound vs tall. They are a delicate, soft pink color. I wish this variety came in other colors as well!

Color is more cream than pictured 0 people found this helpful

These bloomed predominantly cream w/almost no light pinkiness. I expected more pink, as pictured. Nonetheless, these seeds germinated very well, and even survived some neglect/droughty conditions as seedlings.

These might be the ONLY snapdragon - they are so stunning, delicate, ethereal. The blooms last a long time, and then slowly turn paler, but still beautiful. I had some blooms ALL summer and fall. Kept waiting for them to give up, but they hung in there. I started them in the potting shed under lights. They germinated well so I had lots of them, which turned out great for massing. They do take awhile to get to blooming size, but they are worth the wait.

Started these in late winter 2018, planted them in the spring of 2018. They bloomed a little the first year but this year - wow! Amazing colors, dense, abundant blooms. Gorgeous.

I love dwarf snapdragon. I moved into a condo & after spending $100-150 for plants last year, I decided to grow my own plants from seed. I've never done it before, but thanks to the quality of your seeds and beauty of your flowers, my flower boxes ate the got of the condos!! I'll be putting in another order this year for sure.

Lovely Ladylike Blooms 1 people found this helpful

I had really consistent germination with these seeds, and despite weather challenges that came up after they were planted (cold/rain) they still are blooming like champs! I have deer issues each year, but the deer seem to always leave snapdragons alone. I have many blooms on each plant, and they are just getting started. Highly recommend these! Zone 6, Westchester NY
