Tulip Queens Garden Mix is named for Queen of the Night Tulip, a ravishing Mayflowering (Single Late) Tulip that has been honored by the Royal Horticulture Society with its highest award, and wows every garden and vase it enters. This bowl-shaped tulip is generally agreed to be the darkest in the family, with charcoal-black tones among the deep violet. Standing 24 inches high, it is a majestic presence in the spring bulb garden, its color unequalled.
Just a few inches shorter than Queen of the Night, but every bit as showy, is the famous Black Parrot, introduced nearly 80 years ago and never bettered for dramatic twisty form and rich black highlights on burgundy petals.
