Description / Vincent's® Choice Hybrid Sunflower Seeds

No matter where you live, you can enjoy a full summer of Sunflowers with Vincent's® Choice Hybrid Sunflower Seeds. This exciting variety is nothing short of a breeding breakthrough, bringing you pollen-free blooms that face upward instead of nodding. Bright, eye-catching, and long-lasting, Vincent's® Choice Hybrid Sunflower is about to become your all-time favorite.

Unlike other Sunflowers, Vincent's® Choice Hybrid Sunflower is not dependent on a certain daylength (hours of sunlight) to grow and bloom. This means that you can start the seeds much earlier and continue them much later than other varieties. You may get somewhat smaller blooms at the beginning and end of the long summer season, but they will still come—and if you live in a climate where summer can be brief, Vincent's® Choice Hybrid Sunflower will stretch it out magnificently for you.

Vincent's® Choice Hybrid Sunflower reaches 5 to 6 feet high at the height of the season, with large blooms of bright gold around a rich brown eye. They almost look double-flowered, thanks to an extra circle of bright golden-yellow petals around the big center. And they are pollen-free, so you can cut them for the vase without worrying about making a mess. Vincent's® Choice Hybrid Sunflowers grow with their heads facing up and out, instead of nodding like many other Sunflowers. So showy and bright.

Direct sow Vincent's® Choice Hybrid Sunflower Seeds every week or two from spring (when the soil has warmed) through midsummer. You will keep fresh blooms coming all season. And give Vincent's® Choice Hybrid Sunflower a try in your Three Sisters Companion Planting, too. Its strong stem makes the perfect support for beans to climb.

Beautiful Sunflower 0 people found this helpful

I love this sunflower, and will be growing it again this year! Good seed germination, with five foot stalks that had a primary bloom to start, and then also produced numerous smaller blooms down the stalk as the summer progressed. The goldfinches flocked to the drying seeds.

HUGE Sunflowers 0 people found this helpful

    Rating

I planted these on the 4 corners of my garden for two reasons, 1. Bring in Pollinators and 2. Give the birds something else to do besides mess with my vegetables. I literally planted as per the package on all for ends of my vegetable rows and these sunflowers have gotten at least 7-8 foot tall (a few only 5 foot) and are all starting to open or have opened. They are LOADED with bees and good insects. Took a chance and glad I did.... Can't tell you how they will work for you, but for this spring based on my experience, I'd order them again. Oh and almost EVERYONE I planted grew!

Loved that Almost all of the seeds germinated. The flower is STUNNING! 55-65 days all of the flowers had bloomed from date of seeding. Gave many away and used in my home as cut flowers! Thank you Park Seed!

growing awkward 0 people found this helpful

Seedlings growing awkward - maybe started them too soon. Have a few more seeds to plant - will continue trying. Hoping to get a few plants out of the packet as the flowers look beautiful.
