Description / 'Zinderella Orange' Zinnia Seeds

Introducing the enchanting Zinderella Orange Zinnia, a captivating addition to any garden scene. Winner of Europe's prestigious Fleuroselect Novelty Award, this zinnia variety stands out with its captivating peachy tangerine hue and distinctive pompon blooms. Resembling the charming pincushion flower, its double blooms boast layers of petals, creating a striking display that is as wide as it is tall.

Each bloom, measuring 2 to 2½ inches across, features a pompon of tightly-clustered short petals atop a skirt of longer, daisy-like petals. Adding to its allure, 'Zinderella Orange' exhibits a delicate cream "halo" around the central eye, lending it an ethereal quality. During warm days and nights, expect to see a delightful mix of single and double blooms, making each blossom truly unique.

Zinderella Orange is not only a visual delight but also a pollinator magnet, attracting beneficial insects to your garden. As a low-maintenance annual, it thrives whether planted directly into the warm spring soil or started indoors. With its rapid growth and prolific blooming, it's a perfect choice for gardeners seeking continuous color throughout the summer.

Standing at 25 to 30 inches tall and spreading 15 to 18 inches wide, this zinnia variety is well-branched with abundant buds, ensuring a season-long spectacle. Whether planted in sunny beds or showcased in containers, 'Zinderella Orange' promises to be a highlight of your garden landscape.

The flowers that grew from these seeds were nothing like the picture. The flowers did not have the middle puffiness, only the straight petals at the bottom. They were not orange but multiple pale colors. I must have been sent the wrong seeds. The seeds did germinate very well and I had more than needed but they were ugly.

I planted your orange colored Zinnia seeds and they look gorgeous and bloomed just in time for Halloween and Thanksgiving . They are in a pot in front of my house beside a wrought iron bench .

Weak plants with very small blooms in random and inconsistent shades of orange 1 people found this helpful

    Rating

I had very disappointing results with the Zinderella Orange Zinnia seeds. The plants were about 18" in height, were very weak (needed to be staked) and the blooms were less than the 2" around. The color of the blooms varied wildly from a sherbet/pale orange to pumpkin orange and even a scarlet orange. The Zinderalla Orange Zinnia plants petered out much earlier than other zinnia's I grew and unfortunately were very difficult to keep growing as they seemed to be particularly prone to bug damage. I wouldn't recommend this seed nor will I purchase it again in the future.

Huge disappointment 1 people found this helpful
I bought these in 3 colors, and geminated them in Park's biodomes. They all germinated quickly so I was much encouraged. The seedlings were healthy and vigorous when I put some in the garden and others in pots. All bloomed profusely but NOT ONE had the distinctive look for which I grew them. In fact, they were small blossoms, almost miniatures. They are still blooming so I am glad to have them in my zone 4 garden in late October. But they are not what I paid a premium for the seeds for!

Very disappointed in these seeds. When they bloomed, they looked like a standard zinna. No crown of petals. What a shame. Great germination rate but still not worth the price. Save your money.

My plants were not robust and the flowers were singles. Disappointing. I will plant the traditional zinnias next year.

None of these in any color produced the double pompom flowers in the picture! Don't waste your money. They were so ugly I pulled the up.

Only one plant out of the package was a double. Small single petals, some yellow, most orange. Pretty color.
