New Jersey Planting Zones & Schedule
New Jersey’s USDA growing zones range from Zone 6 to Zone 8, depending on where you are in the state. Most of the state falls in Zones 6b, 7a, and 7b where you can grow both cool-season and warm-season crops.
The southern and coastal regions, like Atlantic City and Cape May, are a little milder. These areas fall into Zone 8a which is ideal for warm-weather crops like tomatoes, peppers, and corn.
