Description / Our Lady of Guadalupe Floribunda Rose

Our Lady of Guadalupe Rose offers season-long floral beauty with impressive resilience, making it one of the most dependable floribunda roses for today's gardens. This compact, easy-to-grow shrub dazzles with an abundance of 3-inch blooms in romantic shades of pastel pink brushed with silvery highlights. The blossoms open from pointed buds into classic, high-centered shapes with 20 to 25 petals each, held in abundant clusters that keep your garden brimming with color. Ideal for home gardeners of all experience levels, this rose delivers professional-grade performance with minimal care—perfect for low hedges, rose beds, or charming containers.

A favorite among floribunda enthusiasts, Our Lady of Guadalupe combines ornamental beauty with reliable functionality. Its refined appearance belies a tough constitution, performing exceptionally well in both formal and informal settings. Whether anchoring a sunny border, enhancing a foundation planting, or lining a garden path, this rose adds both elegance and structure. Our Lady of Guadalupe Floribunda Rose pairs beautifully with blue-flowering perennials, like catmint or lavender, which contrast its blush tones, or with other pastel roses for a soothing color palette. Its compact growth habit—just 2 to 3 feet tall and wide—makes it ideal for mixed beds or standalone use in decorative pots.

Designed by nature to thrive with ease, Our Lady of Guadalupe is remarkably heat tolerant and continues blooming during summer's most intense days. Hardy in USDA Zones 5-9, it prefers full sun and well-drained, humus-rich soil. This rose is lightly fragrant, with a sweet old-fashioned scent reminiscent of heirloom varieties, adding charm to garden strolls or indoor arrangements. A resilient choice, it resists common rose diseases like powdery mildew and rust and features thorny canes that help deter browsing animals. For gardeners looking for a compact, continually blooming, and visually refined rose with modern performance, this floribunda is an outstanding addition to any landscape.

So far so good. The roses have been in the ground three weeks and are growing.

This small rose bush came with healthy foliage and a few buds very small in size. The buds were very droopy but I assumed they would perk up once the rose was planted and watered. Not so. The buds continued to droop and never fully opened. I am hoping that as the plant becomes established this will change. I am keeping my fingers crossed. It will need time and lots of TLC.
