Description / Pinto™ Premium Lavender Geranium Seeds

Welcome Pinto™ Premium Lavender Geranium, the most exciting member yet of the Pinto™ family. Pinto™ Premium Lavender Geraniums 5- to 6-inch bloomheads are packed with soft lavender to antique-pink florets, offering fade-resistant rich color during the hottest season of the year and even releasing a sweet subtle scent you will really appreciate.

Each ball of flowers is simply packed with petals, and appears even bigger than its (already large) size because the plant is over a foot tall and wide. Pinto™ Premium Lavender Geranium is super-compact but very well branched, with handsome zoned (ribbons of brown coloring among the dark green) leaves shaped like lily pads and held well below the flowers. Pinto™ Premium Lavender Geranium begins blooming before most other Pelargoniums, and can continue well into fall.

Pinto™ Premium Lavender Geranium flowers hold up well over time, and don't need deadheading (new ones will spring up and hide the old). This is a great choice for window boxes, patio containers, edging, the front or middle of the annual bed, and just about anywhere else you have good soil drainage and nonstop sun. Like other Pelargoniums, Pinto™ Premium Lavender Geranium enjoys a good feeding every other week throughout the growing season, too. And Pinto™ Premium Lavender Geranium is easy to grow new plants from cuttings, so if you have a coldframe or greenhouse, don't forget to keep your Pinto™ Premium Lavender Geranium going by rooting cuttings in fall.

The best way to start these seeds is in your Bio Dome. Pelargonium seeds are not difficult to germinate, but they can take their time—don't be surprised if they germinate days or even a week or two apart. Drop a seed into the Bio Sponge (or, if you're using a seed flat, lightly cover with starting mixture) and place in a 70-degree-ish location. Bottom watering is essential, as is consistent moisture. The Bio Dome also helps protect the young seedlings from drying winds and drafts. Once the seeds have sprouted, give the seedlings plenty of light, and transplant outdoors after all danger of frost is past.

Beautiful Plants, but not Lavender 0 people found this helpful

I have five of these indoors under a grow light and they bloom frequently. However, all of the flowers are pink and none have been anywhere close to lavender.

Late bloomer, but bloomed beautifully until frost 0 people found this helpful

    Rating

These geraniums were so pretty and easy to care for, I put the pots in our garage to over-winter (we are in zone 6a). The seed germinated well and the plants did well. It took time to see blooms, but once started, they bloomed until frost. So successful, I bought Nano Pink Hybrid to try in 2023.

Easy and beautiful 0 people found this helpful

These seeds germinated easily indoors over winter under grow lights. Planted out mid-May and they are doing beautifully. Plan to buy again for next year.
