Growing several feet (not inches, FEET) wide and long, these leaves add a primordial, prehistoric feel and serve as excellent conversation starters! Hardy to about zone 7, in colder gardens elephant ear needs overwintering: store the bulb in a cool, dry, and dark place, and re-plant them every spring to watch the massive leaves get reborn. Park's collection includes the traditional (and still biggest) green varieties as well as newer purple and black cultivars that make an even more dramatic statement!
