Jiffypots® Square Biodegradable (Pack of 100)
Description / Jiffypots® Square Biodegradable (Pack of 100)
The only seed-starting method many gardeners will use, Jiffypots revolutionized gardening and continue to be one of the most popular ways of growing from seed for transplant into the garden.
The principle is simple: Just plant the entire peat moss pot when you transplant. Jiffypots are constructed entirely of lightweight, sturdy Canadian sphagnum ("peat moss"), so as the roots develop, they eventually grow right through the Jiffypots wall and into the garden soil. It's been working like a charm for decades. The inexpensive, reliable way to start from Seed.
Jiffypots are great for annuals, perennials, and vegetables, and are especially effective for hard-to-transplant species. Because you plant the entire pot without disturbing the root system, many plants which normally suffer transplant shock make the transition without turning a leaf.
The 2¼-inch-high and -wide square pots are ideal for placement in trays. For larger square Jiffypots, consider the 3-inch size.
For round Jiffys, Round Jiffypots.

Love these! 0 people found this helpfulThese are perfect for transplanting my seedlings that are grown in the sponges. (No transplant shock because the plants are not disturbed.) I then transplant directly into the soil or planters. I’ve always had great success.

Great bargain! 0 people found this helpfulI received 100 biodegradable pots for a lot less than any brick and mortar store, and I now have a lot of plants sprouting. Thank you!

Nice growing pot 0 people found this helpfulHave done very well with the pot. They are a huge space saver when starting seeds indoors, work well with the Coco Coir Mega Brick Organic Coconut Coir since that holds water well. Nice cheap way to get seeds growing prior to the season. Granted you can just use some egg cartons but we ran out of those quickly :).

Not 2 1/4" 0 people found this helpfulBought these at the end of last season and never opened box. My bad! Just opened them and they are no way 2 1/4" as stated and all my previous orders of this item from Park. Being generous, they are 2" from outside of the peat pots. What can I plant in something this small. Normally use them for squash, cakes, etc.
