Description / Park's Zinderella Zinnia Seed Collection
The Zinderella family of zinnias burst onto the scene when Zinderella Peach won Europe's Fleuroselect Novelty Award 2014 for its unique color and very unusual flower form. Known as scabiosa blooms for their resemblance to pincushion flower (Scabiosa), the double blooms boast a pompon of tightly clustered short petals above a skirt of longer, daisylike petals. Reaching 2 to 2 ½ inches wide, they contain so many layers of petals that they are often as "tall" as they are wide. During warm days and warm nights, you will see 10-15-20% single flowers. When day and night temperatures differ, double blooms will appear.
Zinderella zinnias grow in a flash and bloom heavily. Cut-and-come-again annuals, they set new buds as soon as the old flowers are cut or deadheaded, so they repeat reliably all summer. Zinderella blooms are long-lasting in garden or vase. The blooms attract pollinators and "good bugs" that can help repel pests from vegetable crops and other flowering varieties, so scatter your zinnias where you like—they help the whole garden. And this collection offers every Zinderella Zinnia for a rainbow of color.

Don't waste your money 4 people found this helpfulI bought the seeds because I liked the pompom effect. I planted them in grow pots that were covered. Very few of them germinated the ones that did after planting never achieved the pompom effect. The hybridization seems a failure in the seeds I received.

Mehhh 3 people found this helpfulpros - Seeds germinated readily, seem particularly healthy/disease resistant (except for the purple variety, wilt took those early on). The seeds in the packet match/same color family as the photo. Cons - flowers do NOT look like the photos. I have maybe 3 of 15 plants that are “scabiosa” faced, in lilac, orange, red. The rest are just plain ole single zinnias, and small headed to boot! The salmon look white until they put on some age. Very disappointing. These zinderellas look especially pathetic planted behind Marigold Whoppers, which are performing beautifully and have massive, orange flowers.

Nothing like the pictures 4 people found this helpfulHave grown zinnias for years and was very excited to try these but have been extremely disappointed with them. The colors are dull and flowers themselves don’t look anything like the pictures and are just a regular single flower. Feel like I received the wrong seeds. Haven’t yet to hear back from the company!

Not scabiosa like flowers 4 people found this helpfulBought a pack of each color last year. Germination was great, plants grew well, but less than 1% of the flowers were scabiosa like. Most were single petaled zinnia! Premium price for old school zinnias!

Zinderella duds 3 people found this helpfulBought a packet of each of the colors last year. The seeds grew just fine, but the flowers were 99% just single flowers. The scabiosa effect simply was not present. VERY disappointed! Had better success with another companies zinnias simply called “scabiosa zinnias”.
